The Sewing Center has been serving the Sevierville, TN, community since 1971. Originally known as Necchi Sewing Center, it was the first (and only) fabric store in the area. In the 1980's, the store's name was changed to reflect a broader inventory, including top-of-the-line sewing machine brands such as Brother and Janome.
With the passing of our dear lifelong friend Iva McKee who owned and operated Machine Quiltin' by Iva we have merged the two shops to become Iva's Machine Quilting & Sewing Center. We miss her dearly and intend to carry out her legacy with ours; in our all newly remodeled building at 1020 Old Knoxville Hwy. in Sevierville. Which used to be Machine Quiltin' by Iva. If you live in the area or just passing through we welcome you to stop in and pay us a visit!
Iva's sponsors several annual events including A Mountain Quiltfest, held in March, and our Anita Goodesign Embroidery Party in March. We hope you'll review the details on our classes
page and plan to join us...there's always plenty of learning, sharing, mingling and laughing! If you can't make it to one of these events, we hope to see you in our classroom, where we teach a wide variety of sewing topics for sewists of all styles and skill levels, including machine instruction to help you get the most from your purchase.
We pride oursleves in our quality of service and products, striving for your complete satisfaction. Our store features a friendly atmosphere with no-pressure shopping, warm smiles, engaging conversation and attentive, personalized service.
